Preface
| The International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering is honored to sponsor the First Mediterranean Conference on Medical and Biological Engineering.
The Mediterranean Region historically has been a germinal site and fountain of sustenance for the emergence and development of our civilization. We are most graleful for the opportunity to partecipate in a function that perpetuates the traditioin of innovation and excellence for which this part of the world is distinguished. Our Conference has been made possible by the cooperative labors of dedicated professionals from France, Israel, Italy and Yugoslavia.
Such collaboration and commitment to aspire and achieve together is an outstanding expression of philosophy and goals of our Federation.
A clear example has been shown of how political boundaries can effectively be bridged in the peaceful pursuit of a better way of life for all mankind.
Let us show our appreciation to our colleagues from AIIMB Italy, ISMBE Israel, SEE France and YSMBE Yugoslavia, who labored unselfishly to give us this opportunity, by giving fully of ourselves to assure that this meeting shall stand as a major landmark in the years to come. |
