Since Spain joined the International Federation on Medical and Biological Engineering, the The International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE) recognizes with great enthusiasm the Third Mediterranean Conference on Medical and Biological Engineering in Portoroz. Regional Conferences is been given high priority by our Federation and we are delighted knowing that the Yugoslav Society of Medical and Biological Engineering together with J. Stefan Institute are following up the traditions from the First Conference in Sorrento and the Second Conference in Marseille.
We are most grateful for this opportunity to meet for productive exchange of ideas and experiences within our field of interest. It is a pleasure to be hosted by The Yugoslav Society, referring to its dedication to the field and the firm support of our Federation activities.
The Federation is having Administrative Council Meetings and National Secretaries Meeting5 while in Portoroz. We are most grateful for the generous co-operation with our host Society.
The collaboration between the Yugoslav, French, Israeli, Italian and Spanish Societies is encouraging for all of us. We are looking forward to a successful Conference in Portoroz and the conferences in the Mediterranean Region to come.
