In June 2012, in Beijin (China), Dr Leandro Pecchia, Ass Professor at the University of Warwick and member of the AIIMB, was appointed as Treasurer of the Health Technology Assessment Division of the International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering.

The IFMBE has only two divisions, Clinical Engineering and Health Technology Assessment, and the AIIMB is the only Scientific Society represented in both divisions.
